Women’s Safety Services SA joins with 1800 RESPECT and a newly formed nationwide panel of specialist providers to deliver telephone counselling and recovery services to people affected by domestic, family and sexual violence.

Exciting opportunities exist for experienced trauma practitioners to provide therapeutic trauma services, based in the Adelaide region. The multiple positions are part of a dynamic women’s domestic and family violence service that offers a range of interventions to support people experiencing domestic and family violence. The 1800 RESPECT program provides therapeutic interventions for people seeking telephone and web-based support across Australia.

Are you a qualified and experienced counsellor with a passion for trauma informed care with minimum 2 years full time equivalent experience?

Counsellor Roles

  • Multiple roles available
  • late afternoon and overnight shifts available with 12-15% shift loading (start 2.15pm, finish 10.30pm, 11pm, 2am, 6am)
  • Some early morning shifts available (start from 6.45am, latest finish 7pm)
  • All shifts range from 5 to 7.5 hours in length

Leadership positions available for qualified and experienced clinicians with leadership experience

 Clinical Lead (2 positions)

  • Full time (including one day on weekends)
  • Morning and afternoon clinical and shift leadership (either 6am-2pm or 1pm-8pm)
  • shared weekend leadership (one day of 9am-5pm)
  • rostered on call responsibilities

Program Lead (1 position)

  • Full time (Monday to Friday)
  • Operational focus with some clinical support
  • rostered on call responsibilities

Successful candidates must be able to commence 30 October 2017 with a two week fulltime induction process.
